Microsoft Onelink Home Server
The Homelink is a consumer-focused personal server that enables seamless transition of workflow or entertainment between multiple personal devices. I designed an entire product line to support the main home server, to showcase various devices that could benefit from such a system.
The original server design was a series of modular blocks that plugged into a large breadboard.
Biometrics allow for privacy across shared systems, like in a family home.
The secret to Microsoft’s design language is the careful application of chrome only on components that have been specially engineered to stand out from similar devices.
